During the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 consumer finance applications in Egypt showcased notable trends in downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveals the performance of these apps across both iOS and Android platforms.

NBE Mobile had a remarkable quarter, with downloads peaking at approximately 303K in the week of August 8. Although there was a subsequent decline, it maintained a steady download rate, closing the quarter with around 69K downloads in the last week of September. Active users for the app saw substantial growth, starting from 72K in early August and rising to nearly 544K by the end of September.

CashKateb experienced fluctuating download numbers, with a notable peak of 33K downloads in the week of September 12. The app’s active user base also showed significant growth, starting at 12K in late June and reaching over 40K by mid-September, before dropping to 20K by the end of the quarter.

BM Online saw relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter, maintaining an average of around 15K downloads per week. The weekly active users for BM Online exhibited minor fluctuations, starting at 193K in late June and ending with nearly 188K in the last week of September.

CIB Egypt Mobile Banking had a consistent download rate, averaging around 9K downloads per week. The active user base showed some variability, with a peak of 220K in early July, and a slight dip to 192K by the end of September.

The second NBE Mobile app also reflected steady performance. Downloads peaked at 22K in the week of July 25, followed by a decline to approximately 9K by early August. Active users began at 193K in late June and saw a gradual decrease to around 162K by the end of September.
